A Clarence man was arrested Monday following a traffic stop on Main Street in Clarence on eight charges, including two sex offender registry-related felonies.
Thomas Carrasquillo, 31, who was stopped about 9:25 p.m., misidentified himself, said deputies, who also determined the suspect's driving privileges were suspended and he was a Level 3 sex offender who had not notified authorities of his new address for five months.
Level 3 sex offenders are considered a high risk of repeat offense and a threat to public safety.
The suspect was charged with failing to report an address change and failing to verify his address, misdemeanor counts of obstruction, aggravated unlicensed operation and false personation and vehicle and traffic infractions.
He is in the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment Wednesday in Clarence Town Court.
