Two charged after car stop in Wyoming County

COVINGTON – A Livonia woman was charged with illegally driving and her passenger was charged with drug possession after a traffic stop here Wednesday,  the Wyoming County Sheriff's Office announced Thursday.

Jessica Y. Ruch, 24, of Livonia, was the driver of the car pulled over on State Route 246 because of a number of vehicle equipment infractions. Ruch was then charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

Nicole A. Dacey, 29, of Perry, the only passenger in the vehicle, was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. Dacey was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Both suspects were arraigned in Covington Town Court. They face further proceedings Feb. 27.
