Thieves in hooded sweatshirts rob delivery man at gunpoint

Two armed robbers dressed in hoodies attacked a food-delivery man and stole his cell phone, keys and $80 on Tuesday evening just west of downtown, Central District police reported.

The delivery man was taking the food to a Pine Harbor Walk address, near Busti Avenue, at about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday when the two men shoved him to the ground and kicked him in the face. One of the robbers then held a handgun to his head as they stole his cash and other items. The thieves were described as about 20 years old, one wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, the other a gray one.

The keys and cell phone later were recovered on the sidewalk near the crime scene, and detectives are tracking the cell-phone number of the person who ordered the food. The initial police report did not list the name or location of the restaurant involved.
