Rex Ryan: Bills 'very hopeful' Kyle Williams will play vs. Browns

Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan said Wednesday he was "very hopeful" that veteran defensive tackle Kyle Williams, who missed last Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a back issue, would be able to return for this Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns.

On Monday, Ryan said he was concerned about Williams' availability for the Browns' game.

Williams was held out of Wednesday's practice, along with wide receiver Sammy Watkins (foot), tight end Charles Clay (knee), offensive tackle Cordy Glenn (back), linebacker Lerentee McCray (concussion protocol), and outside linebacker Lorenzo Alexander (veteran's day off).

"He seems to be doing, obviously, much better than he was," Ryan said of Williams. "Obviously, we're very hopeful that he goes this week."

Ryan also said outside linebacker Shaq Lawson (knee) and quarterback Tyrod Taylor (groin) would fully participate in practice.
