Hamburg man charged with aggravated DWI after crash

A Hamburg man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated after a one-vehicle crash Monday afternoon at the mainline Thruway ramp to Interstate-190, state police said.

The crash happened at about 12:46 p.m. Michael E. Koyack, 63, was found to be intoxicated at the scene and registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.18 percent at the Buffalo barracks, state police said.

Koyack was charged with aggravated DWI and multiple vehicle and traffic violations, police said. Koyack was released to a sober third party and is due in Cheektowaga Town Court on Dec. 21.
