Bills WR Kolby Listenbee has surgery for hip injury

Bills' sixth-round draft pick Kolby Listenbee posted online Tuesday that he was undergoing hip surgery and said he will return in 2017.

Listenbee has spent the entire season on the non-football injury list after having surgery for a double sports hernia last March. The wide receiver ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine before having the injury fixed.

But Listenbee told The News in November that he was also dealing with hip instability that resulted from a hit in college. According to his tweets Tuesday, he had a plate put in his pelvis to help resolve the issue.

“I had a play at TCU where I injured it and my tailbone was hurting, it shot through my tailbone and my pelvis was shifting, getting shot up," Listenbee said of his hip injury. "Each game kind of like made it worse."
