North Tonawanda woman accused of felony DWI

A North Tonawanda woman early Friday was charged with felony driving while intoxicated after a border patrol agent called Niagara County Sheriff’s deputies about a vehicle being operated erratically on Cayuga Drive near Williams Road in Wheatfield, deputies reported.

Lindsay R. Peace, 32, who had a DWI conviction several years ago, was charged with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated, a Leandra's Law violation for having a child under the age of 16 in her vehicle; with driving while ability impaired by drugs, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana and endangering the welfare of a child.

She was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in Lockport in lieu of $750 bail. The sheriff’s office said Peace faces further Wheatfield Town Court proceedings at 1 p.m. Wednesday.
