Letter: World’s great literature should not be censored

World’s great literature should not be censored

It never ceases to amaze me that those who always want to censor great literature never think to censor the Bible or the Quran. If I were a censor, (“Virginia school district weighs ban of famous books”), the Bible would be my first target. The book routinely condones sexism, genocide, anti-Semitism, homophobia and numerous other crimes against humanity. Yet censors prefer to obsess over Mark Twain, Harper Lee, Toni Morrison and the Harry Potter books. Where are their priorities?
