Two 18-year-old men are accused of robbing someone at gunpoint in Elma Centennial Park on Sunday, according to the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
The victim told deputies he was approached while in his vehicle by a person who pointed a handgun at him and took his wallet. Deputies later located the suspects' vehicle on Caroline Road in Elma, the sheriff's office said.
Authorities charged Luke Brennan, 18, of Arcade and Justin Giesler, 18, of Elma with robbery, conspiracy and criminal use of a firearm. Brennan was also charged with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and menacing. Giesler was also charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, the sheriff's office said.
After being arraigned, Brennan was remanded in lieu of $25,000 bail while Giesler was released.
Updated May 11, 2018: Giesler pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of conspiracy in the fifth degree, was granted youthful offender status and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge. The case has been sealed.
