POMFRET — Two people were taken to Brooks Hospital for treatment of minor injuries after a three-car accident at the intersection of Route 60 and Route 83 here Monday morning, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office.
Samantha F. Klein, 18, of Forestville, was southbound on Route 60 when her vehicle collided at 9:55 a.m. with a car driven by David W. McQuay, 55, of Dunkirk, who was waiting at the intersection to make a left turn onto Route 83, according to the sheriff's office. McQuay's car spun into the northbound lane of Route 60 and was struck by a northbound car driven by Pamela E. Johnson, 65, of Jamestown, according to the sheriff's office.
Klein and an unidentified passenger in McQuay's car were treated for minor injuries.
Klein was issued a ticket for following too closely, according to the sheriff's office.
