LOCKPORT - For the 12th consecutive year, the Niagara County Giving Tree is on display in the rotunda of the Niagara County Courthouse at Park Avenue and Hawley Street, Lockport.
County employees and the public have until Dec. 16 to donate new and unwrapped clothes, toys, games, sports balls, school supplies and hygiene items and place them under the tree. Cash donations, which can be made at any office in the Courthouse, will be used to buy gift cards at Tops and Walmart.
The effort will benefit the clients of the Casey House shelter in Niagara Falls, Twin Cities Outreach Clothes Closet in North Tonawanda and the Salvation Army in Lockport.
The 12-foot tree was donated by Spoth's Farm Market, Clarence.
