Letter: Crybaby protesters had better grow up

Crybaby protesters had better grow up

The folks who are protesting (and sometimes rioting) and carrying signs, “Not my president,” are like spoiled kids having tantrums because they didn’t get their way. Many of these protesters (more than half of those arrested in Oregon) did not even vote, according to state election records. Nothing is wrong with protesting peacefully, but they should respect the police.

Because Hillary Clinton lost the election, Hollywood elites are crying. Some private colleges are helping students to deal with the election results with therapy dogs. The University of Michigan gave students coloring books and Play-Doh. If these students can’t handle a presidential election, how on earth are they going to survive after college?

I was not happy with the 2008 and 2012 election for president. But I never threw a temper tantrum or cried because I did not get my way. Our political correctness has gone overboard. It’s time to eliminate the practice where everyone gets a participation trophy. Life is not easy. There are winners and losers.

The use of therapy dogs bugged me. We have half a million veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and the loss of limbs. They need therapy dogs. They have real pain and suffering, not like these crybabies who lost because they had a terribly flawed candidate.
