KeyBank will close five area locations for good at 3 p.m. Friday.
The five locations are the last of the area branches Key announced in July that would close stemming from its acquisition of First Niagara Bank. Key owns one of them and leases the other four.
The five closing are: 1219 French Road in Cheektowaga, 5740 S. Transit Road in Lockport, 8301 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Niagara Falls, 4248 Delaware Avenue in Tonawanda, and 501 W. Fifth St. in Jamestown, which is a drive-in location.
Key also closed a branch in West Seneca in November, and closed 16 area First Niagara branches in October. Dash's Market has bought a former First Niagara location on Hertel Avenue, while a new bank, called Bank on Buffalo, plans to open two branches next year in vacant First Niagara locations in Orchard Park.
