Two nonprofits for urban youth get grants

The Emerging Philanthropists of Color, a giving circle for professionals of color, has awarded grants of $2,500 each to two non-profit organizations that focus on youth in Buffalo, Lackawanna and Niagara Falls.

The agencies are Ballin for a Cause, which uses sports to involve youth in educational, health and community giving program, and The College Simulation Experience, which helps high school students make their transition to college.

The grants were presented earlier this month Nov. 16 at the fourth annual Pay It Forward Awards, sponsored by the Communities of Giving Legacy Initiative, a fund and initiative of the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo. For more information, visit thecgli.org.
