We know there's no homeroom today. But we're up and ready to go from another big weekend in high school sports.
As playoffs continue, get yourself ready for today's #PrepTalkLive action with everything you need to know about the day ahead in high school sports.
What to watch for Saturday
1. Football - NYSPHSAA Class B semifinals
Dunkirk (9-2) vs. IV-Chenango Forks (11-0), 3 p.m. at Cicero-North Syracuse High School
Dunkirk has a tough task at hand in three-time defending Class C state champion Chenango Forks as it attempts to push their magical season to one more week. The Marauders could be the next area team to shock state football royalty, following last year's South Park squad that ended Maine Endwell's four-year title reign and 62-game winning streak on their way to a Class A state title.
Both teams feature premier running attacks, with Dunkirk running back Alton Ingram (178 carries, 1,407 yards, 20 TDs) and Chenango running back L.J. Watson (163 carries, 1,872 yards, 29 TDs) enjoying phenomenal years.
The winner earns a spot in the state final at noon next Saturday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse.
2. Girls volleyball - NYSPHSAA Championships
Day one of the state championships at the Glens Falls Civic Center consists of pool play, where all four teams in each class play one another to determine which two teams move on to Sunday's finals.
In Stephen Pierce's last go-round as head coach, the Eden Raiders are searching for their eighth straight state championship in their 18th consecutive trip to the final four. Pierce, the winningest girls volleyball coach in state history, enters Class C pool play with a record of 991-112-23, and he's amassed 23 division titles, 19 Section VI titles and 12 state titles, according to a tweet by Eden Athletics. That deserves at #PrepTalkWOAH.
Williamsville East finished as semifinalists last year and are one of three teams in the Class A division that haven't won a state title. That other team, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake of Section II, is the reigning state champs.
Panama, on the other hand, is in the state finals for the first time in school history. Budd Bailey talked with coach Tammy Hosier in his preview of this weekend's high school sports action.

Sunday's final: noon
3. Girls swimming - NYSPHSAA Championships
Swimming finals begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ithaca College. Multiple Western New York swimmers set themselves up nicely in Friday's preliminaries.
Orchard Park's Olivia Sapio had the fastest time in the preliminaries in the 200 individual medley and second fastest time in the 100 fly. The Quakers’ 200 medley relay is second entering Saturday’s finals. Williamsville North's Alyssa Helak was second in the 100 back and third in the 200 free.
4. Cross country - Federation Championships
Several other local runners will be making the drive to Bowdoin Park in Wappinger Falls (near Poughkeepsie) to compete against the top runners in New York State.
Among Western New York runners include the East Aurora girls and the Maple Grove boys teams, and Nardin standouts Danielle and Gabrielle Orie.
5. Boys hockey
WNY Federation hockey is officially back with a triple-header on Saturday.
- Canisius hosts Section III's Clinton at Riverworks downtown at 1 p.m.
- Sweet Home and Niagara-Wheatfield face off at the Northtown Center at 3:30 p.m.
