An Amherst woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center and two children were taken to Women and Children's Hospital for treatment following a head-on crash involving two vehicles on Campbell Boulevard on Friday afternoon, according to Amherst police.
The crash occurred at about 3 p.m., and led to the closing of Campbell Boulevard to traffic for about 90 minutes Friday afternoon, according to police.
Police said John Armenia, 54, of Cheektowaga wassouthbound on Campbell in a 2002 Chevrolet southbound while Barinder Multani, 37, of Amherst was operating a 2006 Toyota heading north on Campbell when they collided head-on.
No charges have been filed but the investigation is continuing.
Multani, 37, was taken to ECMC with serious injuries, Amherst police said late Friday. By Friday night, she was listed in stable condition.
Two children who were in her vehicle were taken to Women and Children's Hospital with injuries that were non-life-threatening, according to Amherst police.
Armenia was not injured in the crash, town police said.
