Crews working to restore water on Lancaster's Ransom Road

Between 10 and 15 homes along Ransom Road in Lancaster are experiencing low water pressure or a lack of water that the Erie County Water Authority hopes to have fully restored later today.

A water main break occurred this morning on Ransom, near Walden Avenue.

"They don't know the exact cause of the water main break," said Sean Dwyer, a spokesman for the water authority. "At this time, 10 to 15 homes are impacted. They could have low water pressure to no water. We can’t say who has water and who has low water pressure."

County crews are at the scene and hope to have water running there within the next six to eight hours, he said.

Homeowners can look for updates on the authority's website, ecwa.org, or on the authority's Twitter account.
