Cheektowaga man jailed for vintage car damage

A Town of Cheektowaga man was ordered by Cheektowaga Town Justice Paul S. Piotrowski Thursday to serve six months of jail on his guilty plea to a criminal mischief charge, for deliberately causing $1,000 in damage to a vintage car with a key.

David P. Lucas, 50, of Broadway, admitted using a key to scratch one whole side of a 1965 Oldsmobile 88 at Davron Towing at 2425 Broadway on May 13.

In sentencing Lucas, the town judge denounced him for what he called the senseless nature of the crime.
