Clarence haunted house raised more than $17,000 for new Children's Hospital

A haunted house in Clarence Center raised more than $17,257 which will be donated to the new John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital, the haunted house's organizers reported.

The money raised by Gary and Margaret Server will be added to $11,000 they raised two years ago at a similar attraction at their home which will be used to sponsor a private room in the hospital's Neonatal Unit.

"These rooms are specifically designed with the needs of the mother and child in mind," the Servers said in a statement. "They are outfitted with a private bathroom & shower, TV with a DVD player and most importantly will enable a parent to stay 24/7 with their new infant."
