Winter parking rules start Tuesday in some towns, cities

Overnight parking bans go into effect for the winter on Tuesday in a number of area municipalities.

-Amherst: 1 a.m. to 7 a.m.

-Cheektowaga: 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

-Clarence: 1 a.m. to 7 a.m.

-Grand Island: 2 a.m. to 7 a.m.

-Hamburg (village and town): 1 a.m. to 6 a.m.

-North Tonawanda: 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.

Overnight parking bans are scheduled to start Nov. 15 in Buffalo, Depew, Village of Lancaster, Town of Tonawanda, Kenmore and West Seneca.

The overnight ban in Lackawanna starts Dec. 1, while the overnight ban went into effect in the City of Tonawanda on Oct. 1.
