Chippewa Street stabbing goes unnoticed by victim

A stabbing victim on West Chippewa Street early Saturday didn't know he'd been cut several times until after he left the scene of the attack, according to Buffalo Police reports.

The man told police he was trying to break up a fight near 45 W. Chippewa St. about 2:20 a.m. and an unknown person apparently stabbed him in the left forearm, upper left thigh and groin, according to reports.

Police reports state that the man told officers "he never realized he was injured until leaving the scene."

The victim, whose name and address were not available, later sought medical attention at the Erie County Medical Center.
