Three charged in burglary from Porter home

PORTER - Three men have been charged in a February residential burglary on Braley Road, the Niagara County Sheriff's Office said.

James Lauzau, 26, of Lewiston; Patrick Stevens, 23, of Hamburg; and Colton Sherman, 24, of Lewiston, stole a large amount of jewelry from the home, the sheriff's office said.

Deputies charged Lauzau and Stevens with second-degree burglary and third- and fourth-degree grand larceny. Sherman was charged with second-degree attempted burglary.

They were arraigned in Porter Town Court. Lauzau was held on $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 property; Stevens' bail was set at $1,000 cash or $2,000 property; and Sherman was released on his own recognizance.

They're due back in court Nov. 9.
