Nov. 1 – Niagara Musky Association monthly general membership meeting at Eldredge Club, 17 Broad Street, Tonawanda starting at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be DEC fisheries biologist Chris Legard giving updates on Niagara River research being conducted.

Nov. 1 - Leftover Deer Management Permits become available (tentative) across the state where a surplus exists. Visit the nearest license-issuing agent to apply. First come, first served.

Nov. 1 – Personal flotation device requirement goes into effect for boats less than 21 feet in length. The law requires all boat operators to wear a Coast Guard-approved flotation device through May 1, 2017. This includes kayaks, canoes and rowboats.

Nov. 2 – Public Information Session on the recently completed Hanging Bog Wildlife Management Area from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Cuba-Rushford Middle/High School Auditorium, 5476 Route 305 North, Cuba. An open house will take place starting at 6 p.m.
