Rex Ryan wouldn't mind losing assistants to head-coaching jobs

Could the Buffalo Bills' success on both sides of the ball lead to the losses of assistant head coach/defense Rob Ryan and offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn to head-coaching jobs elsewhere in the NFL?

A reporter posed the question to Rex Ryan Wednesday, and he was more than happy to respond.

"I hope we do, I hope we do," he said. "Because they earn it. That's what you want. You want guys to move on and become head coaches. That would be awesome. And I hope it happens."

Then, with his typical sarcasm, Rex added, "They're not that dang good anyway. We can replace them."

Rob, Rex's twin brother, oversees the Bills' red-zone defense, a category where they rank first in the NFL.

Since Lynn replaced Greg Roman as offensive coordinator, the Bills have surged back to the top of the league in rushing (where they finished last season), although they are next-to-last in passing.
