Buffalonia on Friday to benefit Matt Urban Center

Buffalonia, an annual fundraising event to benefit the Matt Urban Human Services Center, will take place at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21 at Five Hundred Seneca in the Larking Square District.

The event celebrates the city, its heritage and the great work accomplished when the community comes together to fill a need.

The Matt Urban Center – named for the most decorated war veteran in American History –  helps support programs and initiatives offered to more than 21,000 Buffalo residents each year.

This year, the center turns 40.

Buffalonia will feature live music by Those Idiots, Buffalo’s zany, fan-favorite polka band playing their version of songs by Lady Gaga, AC/DC and more. Local ethnic fare will be offered, along with beer that is included with your ticket purchase. Mixed drinks and wine will be available for purchase. A basket raffle will also be featured at the event.

Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 at the door and can be purchased at ticketfly.com/event/1300093-buffalonia-buffalo. This is a 21 and over event.
