Opioid talk to be held at Medaille

A forum on the opioids epidemic is planned at Medaille College at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26.

“The Opioid Epidemic: What You Need to Know,” will feature a presentation by John Flickinger, Resident Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration Buffalo Resident Office as well as a panel discussion with a forensics specialist who works in addiction; a Narcan trainer from the Erie County Health Department; a representative from Horizon Health Services; a counselor from Medaille College; and a 22-year-old woman in recovery and her mother.

A question and answer session will also be included.

The talk will be held at Medaille's main building lecture hall, 18 Agassiz Circle, Buffalo.
