Hone your humor with Helium Comedy class

Are you the class clown, office cut-up or budding comic looking to raise your joke game? Helium Comedy Club is offering a six-week beginning stand-up course starting Oct. 22.

The Buffalo Comedy Academy course features six three-hour sessions on Saturday afternoons. Class instructor Rich Lamb is a veteran comedy performer in both stand-up and improv performance, and has helped write material for current touring headliners.

The class promises to help students develop or fine-tune their own act by molding topics into an original routine. Students will learn proper joke structure, editing techniques, and performance habits.

At the end of the course, students will perform live at Helium Comedy Club in a graduation showcase on Dec. 7. Registration for the course is $400. More information can be found at buffalo.heliumcomedy.com.

Helium will offer another stand-up class, as well as an improv course, in January.
