Tonawanda man arrested at graffiti incident

A City of Tonawanda man was arrested early Friday morning while spray-painting graffiti on an East Niagara Street factory.

Luke Lazik, 23, is charged with making graffiti, possession of graffiti instruments, trespassing and resisting arrest.

Tonawanda Police Capt. Frederic Foels said Lazik tried to run off when confronted by police about 2:30 a.m. and was captured on Wales Avenue.

The suspect, police said, was spraying the words "Laugh" and "ULOCK" at the rear of the Washington Mills Factory. Officers said they found 120 cans of spray paint in Lazik's car and at the rear of the factory.

Foels said officers also found a camera and tripod that Lazik used to film his actions.
