NIAGARA FALLS - The St. Vincent de Paul Society store in Niagara Falls will close at the end of the business day Saturday, while it looks for a larger location.
The store at 1919 Pine Ave. has been open since 2013, offering used clothing, household goods and small appliances at little or no cost to those in need. But for the past six months, the society has been looking for something bigger.
“Our current store is too small to offer furniture, which is in demand by those the society serves,” society CEO and Executive Director Mark Zirnheld said. “It is essential that we move to a larger location in the Falls to better meet their needs.”
He said he hopes to find a space large enough to include a furniture, mattress and appliance showroom, along with easy customer access and ample parking.
Vincent’s Discount Store, operated by the society at 1298 Main St., Buffalo, will remain open.
