Buffalo man accused of DWI

Rashad Brighon , 36, of Winslow Avenue, was arrested on drunk driving and other charges after police stopped him on Harmonia Street about 10:40 p.m. An officer stopp Brighon when a plate reader in a patrol car signaled the vehicle Brighon was driving had a suspended registration.

Brighon was observed trying to get a passenger to pretend he had been driving and he also refused to take a breath test, police said. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, consumption of alcohol in a vehicle, driving without a license and refusing to take a breath test.

Brighon was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and obstruction of governmental administration. He remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center Wednesday night.
