Buffalo State to host human trafficking conference

SUNY Buffalo State will host a two-day conference on human trafficking later this week.

At noon Friday, Veerendra Mishra, the author of "Combating Human Trafficking, Gaps in Policy," will deliver an address in the Performing Arts Center in Rockwell Hall.

Saturday's events run from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Campbell Student Union Social Hall. The events include a keynote address by Theresa Flores, author of "The Slave Across the Street." There will also be panelists from several colleges, law enforcement and social service agencies.

There is no cost for students to attend. The cost for non-students is $35 (which includes both days).
