Letter: Trump’s greed is evident in his failure to pay taxes

Trump’s greed is evident in his failure to pay taxes

Donald Trump’s comment about being “smart” with his financial dealings and taxes irritated me to no end. His statement speaks volumes about his callousness for our country. First by refusing to pay his fair share to the operation of our government, he is blatantly admitting he cares little about being a good citizen.

Secondly, that attitude also demonstrates that he cares nothing at all about the middle and lower classes that struggle to make ends meet. His one and only concern is how much money he can put into his own pocket – greed.

Trump blusters about how he will improve the economy. Let him start by paying his fair share and then bringing the jobs he has outsourced back into the United States.

He is considered “non-establishment” by his supporters, but does that equate with good leadership?
