Three face drug charges in Jamestown after gun fired during dispute

JAMESTOWN – Police investigating a Sunday morning shooting arrested three people on drug charges.

During an altercation at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 81 Hazzard St., Emil DeProspo, 20, fired a pistol at another person, according to Jamestown police.

When police arrived on the scene, DeProspo was gone. So on Monday, police executed a search warrant at 75 Barker St., where DeProspo was arrested and charged with first-degree attempted assault, Jamestown police said.

Inside the home, police found cocaine, marijuana, prescription pills, packaging materials and drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.

Two others inside the home – Kevin Philbrick, 18, and Donald Dean Jr. 17 – were also arrested, police said.

All three were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Dean was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon after police found a stun gun in the home.
