Red Cross aiding three residents after $70,000 Tonawanda fire

The Red Cross is assisting three adult residents after fire Friday night caused $70,000 damage to a two-story frame home at 372 Broad St. in the City of Tonawanda.

Tonawanda firefighters, who arrived at the scene after 8 p.m., brought the fire under control in about an hour. Damage was listed at $55,000 to the structure and $15,000 to contents.

The cause of the fire, which broke out in a bedroom, remains under investigation.
