TOWN OF NIAGARA – A Tim Hortons is to be built across the road from Reservoir State Park.
The Town of Niagara Zoning Board of Appeals gave final approval Wednesday to variances for the project, said Corey A. Auerbach of the Barclay Damon law firm, who presented the project to the board.
Previously, the town Planning Board and the Niagara County Planning Board approved the restaurant on the southwest corner of Witmer and Military roads. The park is on the northwest corner.
The owner will be Robert Burns, who owns several area Tim Hortons, including another one on Military Road. The restaurant will have a drive-through lane and 44 seats, 16 of them outdoors. The site will be 1.1 acres of land, combining what previously were four separate parcels. A house and commercial buildings on the site will be demolished and construction will start as soon as possible, Auerbach said.
