DUCATTE, David D.

DUCATTE - David D. If love could cure, you would live forever. Dave passed away after a 16-month valiant battle with cancer and complications from a bone marrow transplant. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Dorothy; his brother Leonard (Donna) Ducatte and his sisters, Pat Pescia, Martha Tedford, Dot Ducatte, Diane Ducatte and Dinah Ducatte. In addition, he is survived by his extended family: Patricia (Dan) Wissman, Louise (Tim) O'Connor, John Bankowski and Jim (Carol Ann) Bankowski as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. We would like to thank the entire staff at Roswell for the excellent medical care they provided, as well as the sensitivity and human compassion they exhibited throughout his illness. We would also like to thank all of the blood and platelet donors including many of our family members who sustained his life during this battle. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, October 14th from 4-7 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC., 319 24th Street, corner of Welch Ave, Niagara Falls, NY. A Memorial Mass with military honors will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. In lieu of flowers, we ask that if you are able, please go to Roswell's donor center or your local blood bank and donate blood or platelets in his honor. If unable, a donation in David's memory to the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY or the SPCA of Niagara County or a charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.
