Arrest made in double stabbing during large fight in Buffalo

Buffalo police charged an 18-year-old in connection with a double stabbing during a large fight on Deerfield Avenue on Wednesday night.

The two stabbing victims, both 20-year-old Buffalo men, were listed in fair condition Thursday morning in Erie County Medical Center, police said.

Isiah Collins of Buffalo has been charged with one of the stabbings, and police are continuing to investigate the incident, police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge said in an email.

Collins was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and false impersonation, according to police.

The fight and stabbings happened shortly after 7 p.m. on the 100 block of Deerfield Avenue. Deerfield runs between Kensington and East Delavan avenues two blocks east of ECMC.

Police said they recovered a knife during the investigation.
