Bailey Avenue bank branch robbed Tuesday afternoon

A man robbed a Key Bank branch on Bailey Avenue near East Amherst Street on Tuesday afternoon, Buffalo police said.

The robber struck at about 1:30 p.m., left the bank on foot toward East Amherst Street and got into a white commercial van, according to police.

Police described the robber as a white man in his mid- to late-20s and about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a black T-shirt with a distinctive logo and a black baseball cap.

He also had a moustache, police said.

Anyone who may have information is asked to call the police department’s confidential tip line at 847-2255.

A robber hit a bank branch in a North Buffalo Tops Markets later in the day.
