McDuffies Bakery in Clarence will host its fourth annual Customer Appreciation Day at its Clarence location on Sept. 27.
Owner Brian Thomas said there will be lots of free food and giveaways along with live music. The Barroom Buzzards will serenade patrons during lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m with Stone Row (a Celtic band) performing for evening customers from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The bakery has been around since 1976 making Scottish shortbread, and opened its retail location at 9920 Main St., Clarence about six years ago.
While we agree the shortbread is fantastic, the delicious pot pies are the real draw, as we noted here.
Thomas said the bakery wants to thank its loyal customers as well as celebrate the opening of its second location at 718 Main St., East Aurora. A third location is planned in Hamburg. Patrons of both the East Aurora and Hamburg farmers markets have been buying the pot pies for years, prompting Thomas to open permanent retail locations.
