African-American seminar on “Our Lives Matter”

Community leaders will offer encouragement and advice to African-American teen young men at “Our Lives Matter,” a symposium from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in Bennett High School, 2885 Main St. The program is hosted by the Buffalo Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

A town hall forum, “Leadership and Vision,” will include Buffalo School Superintendent Kriner Cash and author and attorney Thearthur Duncan. Among the workshop leaders will be attorney John Elmore on “What To Do When Stopped by the Police,” Lamont Williams, executive director of the Hillside Work-Scholarship Connection, on “Are You Ready to Work?” and Dr. Jonathan Daniels on “STD and HIV 101.”
