McKinley outlasts Iroquois; Orchard Park and Will South roll

The Class A South game between McKinley and Iroquois was one of several thrillers played on Friday night. The winner wasn’t decided until the very last play.

Tyshawn Joseph of the Macks made an interception of a last-ditch long pass, and that preserved a 20-15 victory over the Chiefs.

The other two games in the league were good too:

West Seneca East 14, Hamburg 13: Josh Bartz made two sacks in the final minute for the Trojans, and time ran out before the Bulldogs could try again. WSE’s Jacob Maurine had 102 rushing yards and a touchdown.

West Seneca West 16, Riverside 12: On fourth down, Brendon Tait’s screen pass to John Speyer went for 37 yards, and then Tait hit Luke Wilhelm with a 21-yard scoring strike with 40 seconds left for the Indians.
