Kenmore Garden Club will present a Standard Flower Show, “Legends,” from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Kenmore United Methodist Church, 32 Landers Road, Kenmore. The public is invited; admission is free.

Friends of Kenan Herb Club will host a program at 6 p.m. Monday at the Kenan Center, 433 Locust St., Lockport, in the Taylor Theater meeting room. Guest speaker John Farfaglia, horticulture director for Niagara County Cooperative Extension, will present “10 New Emerging Garden Pests and How to Control Them.” Free and open to the public. Hamburg House and Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Hamburg United Methodist Church, 118 Union St., Hamburg. Bonnie Bullivant will present “Unique Ideas in Your Garden.” A business meeting will follow. Call Nancy Kalieta, 826-7462.

Amherst Garden Club will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. John Lutheran Church, 6540 Main St., Williamsville. Judy Tucholski-Zon, a National Garden Club master flower show judge, will present a demonstration of line design and line mass design. Guests and prospective members are welcome.

Forest Stream Garden Club will hold a pot-luck dinner at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Presbyterian Village, Union and North Forest roads, Williamsville. There will be a plant auction and slide show of garden photos. People should bring a dish to share and any items for the auction.

Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County Master Gardener Program will host the following fall classes: Growing Small Fruit for the Home Garden (Sept. 27);

Gardening for Pollinators (Oct. 5); The Importance of Native Plants (Oct. 12). The classes are scheduled to take place in Dard Hunter Hall (upstairs meeting room) at the Print Shop on the Roycroft Campus, 21 S. Grove St., East Aurora. Classes take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $20 per class or $50 for all three sessions. Registration information is available at erie.cce.cornell.edu or call 652-5400, Ext. 177. Check the website the day of class to confirm class location.
