Two-alarm fire at cell phone store causes $175,000 damage

A late afternoon fire at the Boost Mobile Phone store in the plaza at William Street and Jefferson Wednesday afternoon caused $175,000 damage, according to the Buffalo Fire Department. The fire, which started at the rear of the store at 411 William in the plaza, was reported at 4:13 p.m. The fire was declared under control at 4:46 p.m. Fire Department officials listed $75,000 damage to the building and $100,000 damage to contents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
