Sunday's forecast at New Era Field looks like a winner

No matter what happens on the field Sunday afternoon when the winless Buffalo Bills host the Arizona Cardinals, it's shaping up to be a gorgeous day for football.

A passing cold front late Friday night will bring some cooler conditions to the Buffalo Niagara region for the first weekend of autumn -- the first daily high temperatures in the 60s since mid-June, forecast maps show.

Forecast maps show it will be a bit cooler on Sunday, with temperatures in the mid-60s but clear skies and abundant sunshine are expected for the 1 p.m. kickoff at New Era Field. (NOAA)

Temperatures will start out in the mid-60s by kickoff and remain there most of the day. A north breeze could make it feel a little more fallish than that but skies should be dry. (Emphasis added to National Weather Service graphic)
