Pennsylvania man charged with felony DWI

YORKSHIRE – A Bradford, Pa., man with a prior drunken driving conviction faces a new driving while intoxicated charge, State Police said.

Troopers pulled over Brian W. Wedge on Route 16 at about 8:40 p.m. Sunday for inadequate tail lights.

Wedge, 31, failed field sobriety tests and was taken to the Machias barracks where he registered a blood-alcohol level of 0.17 percent, State Police said.

Wedge’s prior conviction was within the last 10 years, State Police said, so he was charged with felony DWI and held in the Cattaraugus County Jail on $2,500 bail.
