Alan Gracie, a director in Freed Maxick CPAs, P.C. Healthcare and Higher Education Assurance and Advisory Practice, has been named to the Daemen College Board of Trustees. Gracie, who is licensed to practice public accounting in New York state, is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Healthcare Financial Management Association, and American Health Lawyers Association.


Merchants Insurance Group announced that Robert Tromans, Data Analytics Specialist, Actuarial Department, has been awarded the professional actuarial designation Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society. CAS credentials demonstrate the expertise to identify, analyze and advise on the potential financial impact of risk and uncertainty.


UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has expanded its team with the addition of a surgeon, Joseph B. Kuechle, MD, PhD. Kuechle specializes in orthopaedic oncology and lower extremity joint replacement and reconstruction. He holds his doctor of medicine and doctor of philosophy in biomedical engineering degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
