Niagara Falls man pleads not guilty in stabbing

LOCKPORT – Antonio D. Porter Sr. of Niagara Falls denied Wednesday that he stabbed a man in a dispute over a woman.

In a Niagara County Court arraignment, Porter, 52, of Ferry Avenue, pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault.

Deputy District Attorney Doreen M. Hoffmann said Porter allegedly stabbed David McIlwain four or five times in the back May 22, which was Porter’s birthday, at a mutual friend’s home on Whitney Avenue in the Falls.

The injuries were not life-threatening, Hoffmann said.
