Dr. John Corbelli was recently elected as a medical staff officer for Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He joined the VA Western New York Healthcare System in 2012. He earned a biology degree from Canisius College and his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he serves as a clinical associate professor of medicine. Corbelli received his training in cardiovascular diseases at the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Michele Ding was recently elected as a medical staff officer for Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She joined the VA Western New York Healthcare System in 2013 as a staff radiologist, then served as the assistant chief of radiology. Since July 2014, she has served as the chief of radiology. She received her doctor of osteopathy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She performed her osteopathic internship at the University at Buffalo and the Catholic Health System, and her diagnostic radiology residency and additional fellowships at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Jacklyn Schneider was recently elected as a medical staff officer for Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She joined the VA Western New York Healthcare System in 2016 as chief of palliative medicine, as well as the hospice and palliative medicine associate fellowship program director. She is an assistant professor of medicine for the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the University at Buffalo. Schneider received her medical doctorate from the University at Buffalo in 2010 and completed her internal medicine residency there in 2013, as well as her hospice and palliative medicine fellowship in 2014.
Cardinal O’Hara High School welcomes Jill Monaco, former principal at Immaculata Academy, as its new assistant principal. She holds master’s degrees in education and educational leadership from Canisius College as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SUNY Oswego.
The John R. Oishei Foundation has elected Melva D. Visher to its board of directors. Visher is a clinical assistant professor and program director of health information management at Medaille College. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from SUNY Empire State College. She completed a two-year post-baccalaureate certification in medical record administration at Daemen College. She is a registered health information administrator.
Walsh Duffield hired Justine Schaper to the commercial lines team as an account executive. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Hilbert College.

He has been a local trial attorney for the past 43 years, focusing on the defense of civil litigation. Dent Neurologic Institute recruited Christine Mann as director of infusion. Mann has 15 years of experience as chief operating officer of Buffalo Rheumatology, and as an executive practice consultant.
Fran Bevilacqua has been named director of clinical operations at Dent Neurologic Institute. She joined Dent earlier this year as an experienced medical practice manager and past president of the Buffalo chapter of the Medical Group Management Association.
Teresa Bove has been named director of neurodiagnostic services and imaging at Dent Neurologic Institute. She has been with Dent for 25 years as lead technologist and manager of various diagnostic services.
Beth O’Keefe joins Dent Neurologic Institute as its new director of human resources. She has more than 15 years of experience and is certified as a senior HR professional through the Society for HR Management and the HR Certification Institute.
