A man was admitted to Erie County Medical Center Saturday after being stabbed in the right shoulder and lung, allegedly by a woman who was trying to keep him out of her home.
The victim, Darnell Mobley, told Northeast District police that he had a past relationship with the woman in the Eggert Road home. He went there about 8:45 a.m. to try to retrieve some of his belongings, but the woman locked him out of the house after an argument.
Mobley said he climbed into the home through a rear window and another argument ensued. He told police he was trying to leave when the woman stabbed him. Officers questioned both parties and found the knife under the kitchen sink, but did not report filing any charges yet. ECMC officials said Mobley was a patient there but would not release information about his condition.
