Damage placed at $50,000 in Johnson Park fire

An electrical fire caused $50,000 in damage to a two-story frame house at 94 Johnson Park Friday, according to the Buffalo Fire Department.

The Red Cross was helping one adult resident obtain temporary shelter. The fire was called in at 3:33 p.m. and declared under control at 4:20 p.m.

Damage was estimated at $35,000 to the building and $15,000 to contents. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
